Transfer Program

Kneaded Energy School of Massage is proud to be one of the few board-approved transfer programs in North Carolina, allowing us to accept transfers from other academic and licensing programs. We can also provide a pathway for licensure in North Carolina for Massage Therapists who have been licensed or trained in other states.

Students applying as transfers to our Professional Massage Therapy Training Program must meet all of our Admissions requirements.  The board will not allow transfer of credit from another institution unless the following standards are met: 

1. The school where credit is being transferred shall be licensed or approved by the educational licensing authority in the state in which it operates, or be exempt by statute; 
2. The school from where credit is being transferred shall provide an official transcript; 
3. Courses for which this credit is granted shall be parallel in content and intensity to the courses presently offered by the school; and 
4. Documentation of previous training shall be included in each student's permanent file.  all of our admissions requirements and provide a transcript from their previous program(s). Credit may be awarded for comparable courses on a case-by-case basis for students who demonstrate competence in the subject matter.

All graduates of our transfer program must meet the standards of excellence that we expect of our own graduates; standards which exceed the minimum requirements set forth by the Board o Massage and Bodywork Therapy in some subject areas. Advanced placement or exemption shall not exceed 35% of the total number of hours in the program. We may only grant advanced placement to t a student, or exempt the student from curriculum requirements, based on the student's performance on an examination that the school administers to determine competency in that subject area.   According to .0627(a) and (b) of the Rules and Regulations of the Board of Massage and Bodywork Therapy.  To learn more, send us an inquiry along with your official transcript with details of your situation.
