Steve comes to us with background in law from Duquesne University School of Law in Pittsburgh ,PA, making him a prime candidate to teach our Ethics and NC Law course. After years in Judicial Law and owning small businesses, Steve attended our program as a 2nd career to slow down and help people. He graduated from our 10th class and is a primary massage therapy instructor.
Steve for your dependability, flexibility and your love of the students, thank you.
Janiese originally came to us as a High School science instructor with a BS in science and quickly took on the evening Kinesiology program. She also graduated from our program with class 10. Soon after she began working toward both her Master's and Doctorate in Education from UNCG. She currently works for the Guilford County School system, helping to develop STEM programs. Janiese returned to KESM to once again teach the evening Kinesiology program.
Janiese, for your gratitude and drive for excellence in teaching, thank you.
Stuart is our resident Doctor of Chiropractic having attended Life University in Marietta, Georgia. Stuart teaches in our day Kinesiology program and has been with us since 2010. Students love his style of teaching, challenging them to learn the Musculoskeletal system of the body all with a very laid back approach. He also has the best sound tracks of any instructor.
Stuart, for bringing the body to life in your classroom and your tunes, thank you.
Ann joins the teaching staff with a passion and love for biology, specifically the human body. She teaches both Anatomy and Physiology and Pathology. She is passionate to help students succeed in these courses so they can fulfill their dreams in massage therapy. Ann is also a tutor to our students who struggle with conventional teaching. She is teaches to both the day and evening students.
Ann, for your passion for the sciences and teaching toward success, thank you.
Melissa came to massage school for the fun of it, graduating from class 8. She needed to find work/life balance all while running her family's 90 year old business. She loved our business classes so much we asked her to join us to teach them with her Business degree from Virginia Tech. Although I'd be quick to say she learned more about business from her father. Melissa is currently running her father's multiple businesses, her own massage business and teaches for us as a guest instructor.
Melissa for your constant smile, educating and uplifting of our students, thank you.
Chenoa came to massage school, graduating from class 54 seeking a slower, more compassionate lifestyle. She obtained her degree in Psychology from Appalachian State University and worked as a counselor in drug addiction. She later served in the U.S. Navy as an Operations Specialist (OS) and received the rank of Petty Officer 2nd class before returning to work as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC).
These positions caused her to re-evaluate her future. Chenoa now teaches our Professional Development and Ethical Foundation classes. These classes help students define their values, learn to create healthy boundaries and learn how to become a professional in the treatment room.
Chenoa, for your quiet and genuine style of teaching, thank you.
Rhonda is a teacher at heart. She motivates and inspires our students like no other massage therapy instructor. She is passionate about massage therapy. Rhonda came to massage school as a 2nd career, living out her first at GTCC as a Computer Programmer Analyst Supervisor. She graduated from our 2nd class and started down an intensive path of elevating her massage therapy knowledge by taking the entire NeuroMuscular Therapy course 4 different times over the course of 7+ years and obtaining her teaching certification. It is with this vast, rich knowledge that she shares with our students. Rhonda spent part of her massage career working alongside a Chiropractor but now has her own practice.
Rhonda, for your dedication to excellence, thank you.
Lee came to massage school after a career in the military, as an Army Sargent and Military Police Investigator. In the first 4 weeks of class, Lee made a declaration that he wanted a future with Kneaded Energy School of Massage and to also serve as a therapist in the professional practice at Kneaded Energy. Lee graduated from class 58. His leadership skills from the military, his deeply instilled faith and his mindset of positivity have made him an incredible role model to those he works with, works on and instructs. He works with our students in the massage therapy classes, having trained directly under Rhonda Foust.
Lee, for your discipline and positivity, thank you.
Jesse came to massage school after years in the service industry and retail sales. She is a self starter , quick learner and is able to put all the pieces together that is required in her primary role as our Student Advisor in the school. By far, the most important role in the school. In this role she gets to interact daily with students and help them to the finish line. Tracking their grades, attendance and clinic hours. This role also requires she interview prospective students, take them on tours and start them down the application process. Jesse graduated from class 52 and also works in the practice at Kneaded Energy as a licensed therapist.
Jessie, for your service to our students success, thank you.
Maxine holds the role as our Student Clinic Czar. No student graduates our program without the influence, support and kindness of Maxine. Our students have 100 hours to complete in clinic, working on the public, mastering their skills as a massage practitioner and learning their professional role as a massage therapist. This is where is all comes together and we have our Clinic Instructor, Maxine to thank.
Maxine, you are a rock. Thank you for caring for our students.
To the countless Instructors, Clinic Supervisors and Student Advisors who have come along with us at different stages of their careers, we also have you to thank.
"When the student is ready, the instructor appears."
